4ME’s pre-dosed potency boosters are pure active complexes that address a range of skincare issues. They contain active ingredients that increase the potency, or strength, of the basic product. In fact, each six-gram booster contains product concentrations rivaling what’s available on the market today.
4ME’s 13 pre-dosed potency boosters are pure active complexes that have been formulated to target the concerns for which they’re named. For example, our 30-Something Anti-Aging potency booster contains specific active ingredients that are ideal for those in their 30s wanting to protect their skin from premature aging. In the same way, our Hydration Plus potency booster is designed to specifically target the common concern of dry skin . . . and so on.

After completing our analysis, you’ll receive your personalized 4ME Skincare Regime, outlining the 4ME basics and potency boosters you need—and which boosters to add to which basics.
In general, you’ll add boosters to 4ME products that remain on your face all day: the moisturizer, serum and toner. You generally add boosters to your Facial Cleanser only when you’re trying to balance your skin type. For example, if you have dry skin, you might add the Hydration Plus booster to Facial Cleanser 1. Or if you have oily skin, you may add the Oil Normalizer to Facial Cleanser 2. The remaining boosters are most effective in our other products.
Because 4ME orders active ingredients frequently, we’re able to offer you some of the freshest actives on the market. Our boosters are at their maximum effectiveness for 6-8 months after you purchase them (whether or not you’ve blended them). After about 8 months, however, your actives begin to lose their ability to perform.
Two other factors can also affect your boosters’ potency: heat and light.
Heat: Take care where you store products. Never leave your skincare products near a window where the sun gets hot or in a hot car while you’re shopping. Cold doesn’t affect the active ingredients negatively, and you can even store your product in the refrigerator, if you don’t mind the cool temperature.
Light: 4ME has addressed the issue of light by packaging our product in amber booster bottles. So other than the sun’s heat, 4ME will protect your boosters from light.
4ME’s potency boosters are pure active complexes and are not designed to be placed directly on the face. Applying pure actives to your face can cause irritation or sensitivity issues, and will not accomplish any more results than if you add them (in the proper amounts) to your 4ME basic products.

Experiment and make the regime your own by personalizing it with the 4ME potency boosters your skin needs. Step 1: Cleanse Facial Cleanser 1 or 2 - Personalize it by adding up to 2 potency boosters. Step 2: Tone Balancing Toner - Personalize it by adding up to 2 potency boosters. Step 3: Treat Vitamin A, C & E Serum - Personalize it by adding up to 2 potency boosters. Step 4: Moisturize Facial Moisturizer - Personalize it by adding up to 2 potency boosters.
All 4ME basic products have been formulated and tested to accept up to two potency boosters while maintaining product stability. Adding more than two potency boosters may negatively affect the consistency of your 4ME basic product or the pH of the product (and its ability to absorb). If you have extra sensitive skin, you may experience slight irritation from adding too many boosters.

4ME formulates and tests its potency boosters for use with the 4ME basic products. Adding 4ME potency boosters to a different moisturizer may adversely change the consistency of that product, ultimately destabilizing the final product. If you add a potency booster to another product line, do so gradually to see if the product’s consistency begins to break down or become too watery.
Adding potency boosters to the 4ME basic products may result in a slight change in texture and color of your basic product. With the 100% concentration of actives contained in the potency boosters, the products will sometimes get a bit thinner and become tinted by the active’s color. Don’t worry! This slight color/texture change is completely normal and simply means you’ve kicked up the effectiveness of your 4ME product.

Yes, you can mist our Balancing Toner over your makeup, and it shouldn’t affect your makeup’s color or coverage. In fact, 4ME Founder Lesley Sears recommends spritzing your face with a potency boosted toner throughout the day to keep active ingredients at a high level. She uses an Anti-Aging and Antioxidant Advanced boosted toner 3-4 times a day and loves it.
How soon you see results depends on how frequently you use our products and your skin’s specific needs. Some issues are more easily accomplished than others. For instance, hydrating the skin is easy to accomplish with 4ME products because they’re formulated to absorb quickly and effectively into the skin. If you’re using our Hydration Plus potency booster, for example, you should see results quickly.
Normalizing the oil levels in your skin will take a bit longer. Oil levels should diminish within a few weeks of using our Oil Normalizer potency booster.
How long it is takes to diminish the number and depth of lines and wrinkles on your face varies. If your skin is dry, then simply hydrating it with our Hydration Plus booster can make a difference in fine lines and wrinkles fairly quickly. The peptides contained in our Anti-Aging boosters take longer, though, because they’re increasing collagen production and working at a deeper level of the skin.
Yes. The effects of 4ME Skincare Adaptable Potency™ System are cumulative, meaning that results become apparent the more you use the product. For instance, you’ll see results more quickly if you use our Facial Moisturizer in the morning and evening rather than using it only before bedtime. You can also impact your results by adding an additional booster to your skincare regime.
First and foremost, take a look at the boosters you’re using and consider adding an additional booster to one of your basic products. For example, if you’re not getting the hydration results you want, simply add another Hydration Plus potency booster to one of your basic products.
The 4ME Adaptable Potency™ Skincare System is the only skincare system where you control your results. If the number of potency boosters aren’t giving you the results you’re looking for—or if your results aren’t occurring quickly enough—increase the potency of your basic products by increasing the number of potency boosters you include in your regime.

You can use one in the morning and one in the evening—or you can layer them. The actives contained in each will still effectively absorb into the skin even if they’re layered.
This is a common concern and one where 4ME Adaptable Potency™ products are ideal. Since you control the formulation of your products, during the winter, simply add an additional Hydration Plus potency booster into one of your 4ME Skincare Regime’s delivery products (moisturizer, toner or serum). If one Hydration Plus potency booster doesn’t provide enough additional hydration, add another.
It’s easy to find your skin’s ideal products. If your moisturizer is already fully blended with two potency boosters, then add the Hydration Plus potency booster to your Balancing Toner.
The wonderful thing about 4ME Adaptable Potency™ products is that you add actives to the basic products having the texture you prefer. With your oily skin, we recommend the Vitamin A, C & E Serum over the Facial Moisturizer to carry your potency boosters. The Vitamin A, C & E Serum’s lighter texture is ideal for oily skin; in contrast, the Facial Moisturizer’s thicker consistency is best to carry potency boosters to dry skin. We strongly recommend you complete the 4ME Skincare Analysis to determine the products best for you.
Here’s the rule of thumb for the number of potency boosters you should use for each of your skin concerns. It all depends on how concerned you are about a particular concern. Not concerned: No potency boosters Concerned: 1 potency booster Very concerned: 2 potency boosters Since you say you’re “very concerned,” we recommend you use two 40-Something Anti-Aging potency boosters in either a Vitamin A, C & E Serum or our Facial Moisturizer product.
During certain times of the year in colder climates, your product may freeze in the process of shipping. Let your product thaw at room temperature and proceed with adding boosters as normal.
